As a singer, stage director, and educator,
Dr. Barrera offers a holistic approach to vocal training that integrates healthy technique, musical expression, and dramatic interpretation. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance with minors in Vocal Pedagogy and Theater Arts, and has spent more than fifteen years teaching privately and at Georgia Southern University, Louisiana State University, Miami Music Conservatory, Miami Dade College, and New World School of the Arts.
Her teaching draws on her professional work onstage and in the rehearsal room, helping singers connect technique with character, language, and emotional intention. Dr. Barrera works with students of all levels who are ready to grow as vocal artists and storytellers.
