Lyric soprano, Megan Barrera currently resides in Statesboro, GA, where she actively combines her passions for performance, stage direction, and opera education.​

• 🎶 Megan will appear as the soprano soloist in Requiem in D minor, K. 626 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Barrera joins distinguished collaborators in bringing this iconic masterwork to life in a performance that highlights both dramatic intensity and lyrical beauty.

• 🎶 Dr. Barrera will present at the NATS National Conference 2026 in San Antonio, collaborating with Dr. Zuly Inirio to share Islas Resonantes, a session on Caribbean vocal traditions and pedagogy.

• 🎶 Dr. Megan Barrera has been invited to return to FIMUS in Brazil this July as a featured guest artist, where she will serve as a voice teacher, assistant opera director for the world premiere of a new opera, and recitalist.
